November Update
At the beginning of November, all of the seeded pastures have filled in nicely. The pasture which was seeded in August, it is possible to graze the horses for an hour or 2 at a time. I am avoiding longer grazing sessions, in order to avoid soil compaction, and since the grass is very rich.
Remaining pasture maintenance for this season will be limited to mulching leaves in the back field to avoid leaf matting in the spring and spreading additional fertilizer.
